Staying at the hotel was truly delightful. The cozy apartment-style room over 2 floors with 2 baths was a warm retreat on a cold winter night, offering a lovely view of the traditional roof and pine garden of the neighboring shukubo. The location, right in front of Zenjiko Temple, allowed for a fabulous experience with plenty to explore within walking distance, although a bit away from the center of Nagano. The service was incredibly helpful and sincere, making the stay feel like a home away from home. The dining experience, with its authentic ryokan style meals, was a cultural journey in itself, though opting for street food could be a nice change. The facilities provided everything needed for a comfortable stay.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms at the back of the establishment were a nice size and quiet, offering a clean space with a lovely view of the back street. The service exceeded my expectations, despite language barriers, the staff went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after. The location couldn't be better, surrounded by many temples and just a stone's throw away from Zenko-ji Temple. The dining experience in an authentic ryokan style was delicious, offering a large Japanese-style breakfast. Overall, a great value for money.

However, being woken up by garbage trucks at 4 am affects the overall peacefulness of the location.
